The increasing complexity of infrastructure management systems (IMS) necessitates robust solutions to ensure data security and enhance trust. Blockchain technology offers a decentralized, transparent, and immutable framework that addresses these challenges. This paper explores integrative blockchain frameworks to augment data security and trust in IMS. By synthesizing insights from recent studies, the paper highlights blockchain’s transformative potential in managing critical infrastructure, such as transportation, utilities, and smart cities. A comprehensive literature review identifies key frameworks and their applications. Data visualization through tables and graphs underscores the benefits and challenges of blockchain adoption in IMS. This research contributes to the discourse on leveraging blockchain to improve IMS governance, demonstrating its capacity to mitigate risks, reduce inefficiencies, and build stakeholder trust.
